Martha Sugalski

News Anchor

POSTED: 11:18 am EDT August 17, 2006
UPDATED: 11:05 am EST February 15, 2008

WESH 2 anchor Martha Sugalski has more than 15 years experience covering Florida news.

Born in Philadelphia but raised in Florida, Martha always knew she wanted to be a journalist. While attending Florida Atlantic University, she interned at WPBF-TV in West Palm Beach and was later offered a position as a reporter for that station.

She also worked as a consumer reporter for West Palm NBC affiliate WPTV-TV. After reporting for nearly 3 years in the town where she grew up, Martha was recruited by WTVJ-TV in Miami as a reporter, and eventually became an anchor.

Martha lists many highlights in her career to date, including interviewing presidents, traveling to cover title bids for the Miami Heat and Florida Marlins and covering the highly emotional Elian Gonzalez saga.

She also covered the shocking murder of world-famous South Beach designer Gianni Versace. In addition, she's covered multiple hurricanes and our Central Florida wildfires.

Martha began her career with WESH-TV in 2006. She is the proud mom of two sons and a daughter.

In her free time, Martha enjoys playing with her children, running and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles.
