Since reading her first issue of Seventeen magazine at age 14, Jessica knew she wanted to be a writer.

"I used to write short stories when I was home sick from school," she said.

While attending Rollins College, Jessica freelanced for a magazine and newspaper and was first published at 21. She also helped fellow students with their writing as a peer writing consultant at the college's writing center.

After graduation in 2003, Jessica continued writing for a local lifestyle magazine and compiled comprehensive reports of current court cases for local law firms.

A position as the features writer for the East Orlando Sun and a brief stint in retail management led her to WESH-TV.

Her favorite Rollins College professor is now a colleague.

Greg Fox, WESH 2 political reporter said, "Jessica Seeley was a remarkably creative and engaging student in my media relations class. She put a lot of time and effort into her projects."

In March 2007, Jessica made the move to online journalism and took her current position as News Editor for WESH.com. Jessica also works with CW18 as a member of their Backlot Crew.

When she's not at the station, Jessica, 26, enjoys feeding her shopping addiction, catching movies and spending time with her friends.

Jessica lives in Orlando with her boyfriend, Jason, and her 5-pound Chihuahua, Ruby.
