Jeff Lennox joined WESH 2 News as a general assignment reporter in 2007.

In 2004 Jeff was named "Rookie of the Year" by the North Carolina Associated Press. Since then he has won various other awards from the Associated Press for his work as a general assignment reporter.

When it comes to working in the field Jeff doesn't hold back. Whether he's exposing corruption in local government or chasing down a hurricane, Jeff is passionate about telling stories that matter to viewers.

Over the years Jeff has covered several big stories. In April 2007 Jeff was the first reporter from Knoxville, TN to arrive in Blacksburg, VA a few hours after the Virginia Tech massacre. For three days straight Jeff told the stories of Virginia Tech students from Knoxville, TN who were affected by the tragic event. Jeff also uncovered details about an alleged dog-fighting farm in Hamblen County, TN back in July 2007. Jeff confronted the property owner, and a day after the story aired the local FBI office and other local agencies launched an investigation.

Before arriving in Orlando and here at WESH 2 News Jeff worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for the ABC affiliate WATE 6 News in Knoxville, TN. He started his career as a broadcast journalist at the ABC affiliate in Wilmington, NC, WWAY NewsChannel 3.

Jeff has a Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. In four years time he completed two majors; communication studies and political science.

In his spare time, Jeff keeps a close eye on his UNCW Seahawks and the Boston Red Sox. Family and friends are also important to Jeff. From Orlando to Boston, MA Jeff has family up and down the east coast.

Jeff is a military brat and he has lived all over the globe. He was born in Pensacola, FL and he considers Alexandria, VA his hometown.

If you see Jeff around town don't be afraid to say hi or give him a juicy tip!
