Meteorologist Jason Brewer joined the WESH 2 Weather Plus team in February 2007 and appears on WESH 2 News Sunrise.

Jason was formerly seen on KPRC-TV in Houston, WTVD-TV in Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and KOSA-TV in Odessa, Texas.

Jason's hometown is Dallas. After graduating from Plano Senior High School, he attended Baylor University, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in earth science with minors in environmental studies and Spanish. He earned his bachelor of science in meteorology at Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Jason said he loves the science involved in weather forecasting.

"I get to talk about the weather for a living. I love the science. There are so many variables in meteorology. It's a challenge every day to assess what's going on around you, incorporate what you've learned from the past and then predict what you think will happen in the future," he said.

One of his proudest achievements was covering Hurricane Ophelia when it struck the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Jason and his wife have two Labrador retrievers, including a chocolate lab named Llano and a yellow lab named Banks.

When he's not forecasting the weather, Jason loves water skiing and snow skiing, traveling, listening to music, cooking, hiking and golf.
