Shuttle Rollout Slated For Today

Launch Set For Oct. 8

NASA managers decided to roll space shuttle Atlantis to its launch pad on Thursday.

They made the decision following a 5:30 a.m. meeting to discuss concerns about Tropical Storm Hanna, which delayed the rollout for several days.

But mission managers determined it's safe to move the shuttle to the pad, and they'll begin the process at 10 a.m.

The shuttle is scheduled to launch on Oct. 8.
