Mission controllers at NASA said they don't believe two issues found with space shuttle Discovery will pose any problems during landing.

Video: Debris Seen Trailing Shuttle

Astronauts said they noticed a shiny, rectangular-shaped object trailing the shuttle after a rocket was fired early Friday morning.

NASA officials said they've analyzed video and photos and determined the object was one of three clips at the back of the shuttle's rudder that is used to protect the orbiter from heating during launch. They said it should not pose any problems during landing.

Mission managers were also concerned about a small bump seen along the edge of the shuttle's tail fin.

Crewmembers uploaded images to Mission Control that were reviewed by experts. Controllers said the bump was a split-line barrier along the tail's trailing edge seen in unusual lighting.

A final review of Friday's events will be made at a meeting of mission managers. The landing is scheduled for Saturday morning at Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 11:15 a.m. EDT.
