Dieters' Dilemmas: The Atkins Diet
Steve's Big Dilemma: When Steve began the diet, he was worried that he'd miss his favorite high-carb dishes.
Solution: Steve took advantage of the fact that his wife is an accomplished cook. She has come up with different recipes for the meats so he's not eating the same meal week after week.
Another solution is to take advantage of the fish and seafoods that you're allowed to eat. There are many.
Here are some other dilemmas that you might face:
Dilemma: I have bad breath since I started the diet.
Solution: Bad breath is a normal effect of ketosis. To improve your breath, slightly increase your carbohydrate level or eat parsley.
Dilemma: I reached a weight-loss plateau after my initial loss.
Solution: Ask your doctor if medications could be prohibiting further weight loss. If you graduated from the Induction diet, make sure you didn't add too many carbs.
