Democratic Candidate Discusses Iraq, Energy Policy, Immigration

POSTED: 4:02 pm EDT June 8, 2007

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton shared her views on the war in Iraq, health care and illegal immigration with an audience of New Hampshire voters.

Clinton answered questions in "Conversation with the Candidate," an ongoing series produced by WMUR-TV in New Hampshire in which the candidates for president discuss issues on the minds of voters.

The senator from New York and Democratic front-runner said that ending the war in Iraq is a priority for her and something she has been working on while serving in the Senate.

"I have a very simple, three-word policy toward the war in Iraq, and that is to end the war," Clinton said. "And I'm trying to do everything I can to persuade the president that he needs to change course."

You can watch the entire program as it aired on WMUR-TV along with a special, online-only bonus half-hour by clicking on the links above. Hear Clinton in front of a studio audience give her thoughts on energy independence, health care and why she wants to leave her current job to become president.
