According to AAA, The national average is $3.50, which is 17 cents cheaper than one month ago and 60 cents below July's highest price.

Orlando drivers are paying $3.56 on Monday, and Daytona Beach drivers are paying $3.62.

But in one area of Orange County, drivers are finding prices well below average.

Motorists in Zellwood are enjoying a price war at the pumps. At a local Shell station, regular unleaded was priced at $3.10 per gallon.

At one point on Sunday, the price fell to $3.08 per gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.

The price at a Citgo station fell to $3.27 per gallon, and they saw increased buying after the Shell station ran out of fuel.

Drivers were overjoyed and said they would like to see the prices fall even more.

"Earlier today, I got it for $3.08 per gallon. That was nice. I filled up the car for $50 instead of $70 to $80," Scott Gocken said.

The gas station manager said the prices are dropping from suppliers, so customers should continue to see some relief.

Another gas shipment is expected on Monday, but the Shell price returned to $3.27 during the early-morning hours.
