Secrecy Prevails As Endeavour Awaits Launch

Shuttle Scheduled For Launch On Nov. 29

POSTED: 4:44 p.m. EST October 31, 2001
UPDATED: 5:03 p.m. EST October 31, 2001

The space shuttle Endeavour sits on a Kennedy Space Center launch pad Wednesday.

It was the first shuttle roll-out since Sept. 11, and it happened under tight security. Two Air Force F-15 fighter jets flew overhead during the move.

It was also the first time that NASA officials did not announce when Endeavour would make the trip.

Endeavour is scheduled to launch on Nov. 29, but in another show of tight security, NASA officials are not releasing the launch time.
