MELBOURNE, Fla. -- A local mother said she thought a school bus driver was going to kill her.

Muneerah Ali said the driver unleashed a barrage of threats that absolutely stunned her.

The woman said it began at the bus stop. The driver left, and they caught up at the next stop.

"Boy was I scared," Ali said.

A surveillance camera aboard the bus was running as the two exchanged words.

"It was in his eyes that he was ready to kill someone ... He was very serious, very serious. He was standing up and ready to swing that rod at me," Ali said.

The woman's son boarded the bus and called 911.

"I'm really scared. He's going to hurt my mom when we get back to school," Aahil Ali said on the 911 call.

Aahil Ali talked about the incident.

"I really thought he would. I was really scared," Aahil Ali said.

Although the arresting officer recommended no bail, the driver was released on $15,000 bail. He's washing but not driving school buses.

Muneerah Ali said it scares her that, because he's their bus driver, he knows where they live.
