ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando police found a car stolen by a crossdressing gunman who fired shots during a robbery at a Walmart.
It happened at the Walmart Supercenter in Metrowest on Sunday. No one was hurt in the incident.
Investigators said they found the car the gunman used to flee from the scene. It was a stolen 1997 green Honda Accord with Florida tags.Authorities said it happened on Sunday morning when a man in a dress fired gunshots inside the store. He was wearing a gray wig and a white dress.Once inside, the gunman tried to rob the Money Center, which is an area inside Walmart where customers can get financial advice."McDonald's, Walmart, they were running into it -- not out of it. They wouldn't even listen. Everyone was panic-stricken," witness Janet Miller said.Customers described the scene as chaotic. Surveillance video showed images of the man inside the Money Center. Police will use the pictures to try to identify the gunman.
