DEBARY, Fla. -- Investigators said a man was stalking a school bus, driving alongside it over the last several weeks and performing lewd acts in clear view of high school students.

With the help of students and one very persistent father, the suspect is under arrest facing felony charges.

An irate father followed a vehicle down U.S. Highway 17-92 in Debary after he said the driver performed lewd acts in front of DeLand High School students riding in a school bus. The mad dad said the driver has been doing it for weeks, so he's been staking him out.

"What he does, he gets next to the bus, he pulls his window down and he pulls his pants down," the father said.

James Richmond, 22, of Lake Mary, is the man investigators said was behind the wheel behaving badly. The student’s father led deputies to the suspect and he was arrested at home Thursday night.

Richmond denies exposing himself to students along the busy road.

Investigators said Richmond told them he was early for his job at Florida Public Utilities, so he went for a workout at a local gym, then was driving around killing time.

Investigators said he never went to the gym. They said he had not been there in months.

Local parents are upset that students can't even ride a school bus undisturbed.

Investigators said they've since learned Richmond repeatedly leered at young women standing at area bus-stops as well.

But a determined father wouldn't put up with it and Richmond is under arrest facing two felony charges.
