A tractor rolled over a man in Mascotte as he was trying to get it started on Saturday, police said.

Just before 10 a.m., police responded to a call of an injured man on the 700 block of Sloans Ridge Road.

A helicopter transported 69-year-old Alfonso McCraney to Orlando Regional Medical Center after the accident.

Police said McCraney had been trying to get his tractor started when it went into gear and rolled over him, severely injuring his head and torso.

McCraney's condition was not known, but officials said the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
